July brought a much-needed reprieve from the selloff of June, with the market carrying that momentum and upside into August before rolling over again. There wasn’t a single sector that finished July lower than it started, with Consumer Discretionary and IT both advancing more than 10%. Following the explosive month and a half long rally that saw the S&P 500 recover from the 3,670’s to just over 4,300, the market turned and around and gave it all back by the time Q3 ended.
